Description:

In March 2012 The Body Shop Foundation nominated “3 good actions” in the categories “Human Rights, Animal Protection and Environmental Protection” for their “Dragon Fruit Lip Butter” campaign which took place from early September until end of December 2012. These “3 good actions” were in competition against each other in the shops and consumers had the opportunity, when buying a lip butter, to donate a coin to one of the "3 good actions". Thus, it was the consumer who determined the “great” winner. However, all of them were winners: n°1 “Belgian Federation of Food Banks” (human rights) received 50% of the gain, n°2 “Gaia” (animal protection) 30% and n°3 “Flanders Better Environment Association” (environmental protection) 20%. The Body Shop Foundation used social media and communication via their shops to inform consumers in order to improve as much as possible the fundraising.
