Description:

The University of Agronomy (Institute Superior de Agronomia) located in the heart of Lisbon, allocated an unused 2 hectare field so that students could sow chick peas. Santander Bank sponsored the purchase of the seeds. After 8 months, a volunteer team of teachers, students, Santander Bank employees and their families, harvested the produce. This project was both a social and an environmental initiative. Lisbon Food Bank was responsible for the packaging of the chick peas and for the delivery to charitable organizations.

0€ (all the expenses were supported by the partners).

Results:

A different, hands-on, way to promote solidarity. Awareness. Lisbon Food Bank received 1,578 kgs of grain.
